Applying for Thought Bubble!

UPDATE! We WILL be going to Thought Bubble!

We were also delighted to hear that local comic artist Rachael Smith is also going, but then that didn’t come as a surprise 🙂

Do come and say hi!

So! A few of us are applying for a couple of tables at this year’s Thought Bubble comic art festival in Leeds. While Chris Browning has exhibited there twice before, it’s all shiny and new for the rest of us. Fun challenge #1 Put our respective works onto a few pieces of A4.

March 2016 Scribblers meet

The next Scribblers meeting will be this coming Sunday, March 13th. As usual, from 2-4pm at Káva in Todmorden. This is free to attend, as it’s just a bunch of artists, writers and comics enthusiasts sitting around doodling, chatting, reading and drinking tea and stuff. Kids are always welcome.

We’ll probably also be discussing Scribblecon, our upcoming comic-con which is now official! Mark your calendars for May 28th at the Golden Lion (also in Todmorden).

(Chris Browning from The Common Swings took a day off from making his excellent poster cats, so in this month’s flyer we feature the cat Mizzle, drawn by local comic artist Cat Byrne)
